Although counselling services are not covered under the Medical Services Plan of BC, you may be eligible for funding from the following sources:
- Extended Health Benefits: If you have extended health benefits, or are covered by a family member’s extended health benefits, you may be able to submit my receipts for partial reimbursement. You will need to check with your insurance company to find out the amount of your annual coverage for services from a Registered Clinical Counsellor.
- Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP): If you are the victim of a crime that occurred in BC after July 1st, 1972, and that has been reported to the police, you may be eligible for funding for counselling. Application information is available by mail or from the CVAP website.
- ICBC: If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident you may be eligible for counselling services. Please check with your ICBC adjustor to see if you qualify. I am an approved ICBC vendor.
